We did it!
Imjin Veterans' Memorial unveiled in the Cyril Hart Arboretum, Coleford, Glos
On 24 April 2026 in the heart of the beautiful Forest of Dean, some 400 people turned up to the Ceremony of Dedication to unveil the Forest of Dean Korean War and Imjin Veterans' Memorial. Over four years after the memorial was first mentioned and following a year of community fundraising, the memorial can now be visited in the idyllic setting of the Cyril Hart Arboretum, Speech House Road, Coleford GU16 7EL.
A big thank you to everyone - the individual donors, the local businesses and community groups, our supplier sponsors and all those who helped make this happen. Thank you too to everyone who took part in or attended the Ceremony of Dedication for making it such a memorable day.
It is hoped that the memorial will help to ensure the actions of the Glosters in the Korean War will never be forgotten.

Forest of Dean Brass Imjin Veterans' Memorial Concert, 20 September 2025, 7 pm
All Saints Church, Viney Hill, Glos
Great news! Forest of Dean Brass are holding a concert to fundraise for the Imjin Veterans' Memorial at All Saints Church, Viney Hill, Glos, on 20 September 2025 at 7 pm. Tommy Tynan, a virtuoso tuba player has written a special march for the concert and the band will also be playing Hymn to the Cross which was commissioned to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Imjin River.

Imjin Veterans' Memorial Appeal
I am extremely honoured to be associated with the Imjin Veterans' Memorial which we have permission to install in the Cyril Hart Arboretum near Coleford, Forest of Dean. The memorial will commemorate all those who fought in the Korean War and will name 15 veterans associated with the Forest of Dean who fought in the Battle of Imjin River in 1951.
